There is the Kingdom of God, the Catholic Church, and the kingdom of Satan (heretics, jews, and other apostates). "Daily be more closely united" ... on what basis? The truths in the super-natural order cannot contradict themselves.
2	Para 2	"Founded on that belief a hope that the nations, although they differ among themselves in certain religious matters, will without much difficulty come to agree as brethren in professing certain doctrines, which form as it were a common basis of the spiritual life."	There is no "common basis of spiritual life" between Catholics and heretics or between Catholics and the un-baptized pagans who call themselves jews. From what we can tell "pius-11" never publicly recanted his publicly distributed heresy in this "encyclical" ... which of course places him in Hell forever.
5	Para 4	"And here it seems opportune to expound and to refute a certain false opinion, on which this whole question, as well as that complex movement by which non-Catholics seek to bring about the union of the Christian churches depends."	pius-11 here is again referring to heretics as being "Christians" and that they are in "churches" when in reality they are in heretic meeting halls, not "churches". "pius-11" is very slippery in that on one hand he speaks of "refuting their false opinions" but in the very next breath calls the heretics "Christians".

Mary Ball Martinez's book: "The Undermining of the Catholic Church" documents in great detail other actions that "Benedict XV", "pius-11", and "pius-12" took against the Church to cause it to be greatly reduced in numbers in our time.
